The International Society for Viruses of Microorganisms (ISVM) was established in 2011 as a non-profit organization to facilitate collaboration among researchers, organizations, and companies studying viruses that infect bacteria, archaea, and eukaryotes. We aim to advance the science and use of Viruses of Microbes by fostering networking and learning opportunities.

Through our meeting activities, we create unique opportunities for the exchange of ideas and establishing collaboration between disciplines as well as sectors such as universities, companies, and authorities. We provide our members the opportunities to present their work, expand their knowledge, and network for potential collaboration and learning through information exchange.

ISVM supports: The Viruses of Microbes (VoM) conferences are held every second year, initially in Europe but also on other continents, expanding our research borders and community members.

The ISVM community unites brilliant minds from various scientific fields, such as molecular biology, genomics, population biology, and ecology, to drive innovation in basic science and medical and industrial applications.

We’re excited to have you join the ISVM community. Find more information here.
